How is workers' compensation is similar to liability insurance? ? Poly ...

Not very much. The closest you can get, is that the "employers liability" section offered on workers comp policies in most states, gives the employer some protection from lawsuits.

SALLY,

There would be more differences than similarities between a Workers Compensation Policy and a General Liability Policy.

The main similarity as an employer would be the fact that your insuring the risk that an accident could occur that would end up costing you money and you are transferring the risk to the carrier.

Sometimes workers are considered assets and if an accident occurs which limits your employee to do his or her duties, you end up incurring a loss of income.Loss of income is sometimes a covered item under a general liability policy.

It may be helpful to understand why your asking this question.Details sometimes aid in supplying the correct answer.

Good Luck
