The George Mason University, School of Management invites applications and nominations for one or more tenure-track positions in accounting starting fall 2013.

Preference will be given to assistants, although all ranks will be considered. One of the positions is subject to budgetary approval. Salary will be commensurate with experience and level.

Qualifications: The candidate should possess (or is expected to achieve) an earned doctorate from an accredited institution in accounting, and has developed or demonstrate potential to develop a record of scholarly and professional accomplishments consistent with an appointment for the appropriate rank.

The Accounting Area is positioned for excellence in scholarly research in premier accounting journals, and in the design and delivery of high-quality degree programs. At present there are 20 full-time faculty members in the area.

Ranked by the U.S. News and World Report in the top 15 percent of all AACSB-accredited business schools, the School of Management is one of only 10 percent of business schools worldwide that is accredited in both business and accounting by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International. The school has nearly 4,000 students in its undergraduate, MBA, Executive MBA, M.S. in Accounting, M.S. in Technology Management, M.S. in Real Estate Development, and M.S. in Management of Secure Information programs.
